Why is church membership so important?
- Believers are expected to “join” their lives to a local body of believers.
“But none of the rest dared to associate with them; however, the people held them in high esteem.” Acts 5:13
- The church is pictured in the Bible as a body, kingdom, family, building, and flock. This only happens in the context of a common commitment to a local assembly of believers. Membership is not about me, it is about us.
Ephesians 2:11-22
1 Corinthians 12:12-27
- Research indicates that church membership increases a person’s commitment to Christ three and a half times!

By Letter
Having already accepted Christ as your personal Savior, having been previously baptized by full water immersion, currently a member of a Southern Baptist Church, and desiring to unite in membership with East Side, we will take care of requesting the transfer of your membership.

By Statement
